To write letters in support of the 2006 family law (shared care) amendments, or related topics such as letters critical of the discrimination fathers continue to experience, to your local member of parliament.
Any appointments to see your local member on these topics would be a bonus.
These letters also to be sent to every other parliamentary representative from all political parties, involving the send of over 300 letters per volunteer.
No emails will be used as these are less effective. This is purely a letter writing exercise.
Skills Required
You simply need to have the time to write a short (1 page) letter in a reasoned, non-aggressive manner. The hope is to "persuade" the reader that the new laws are a positive step, but more needs to be done for children and fathers.
All efforts must be logged in the online reporting module every Friday at 10pm.
